The new government of Jammu and Kashmir has started to fulfill their promise after getting elected. Recently the State Education Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Sakina itoo Announced new 575 vacancies of lectures in plus two or Higher Secondary Schools in Jammu and Kashmir. The recruitment notification will be released by the Jammu Kashmir Public Service Commission shortly and after that eligible candidates can apply for the post of +2 lecturer in School Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sakina Masood is a new Minister for Health & Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education in Jammu and Kashmir. She recently post an announcement on X platform about the approval of 575 lectures in the State Government schools for senior secondary level which is also known as +2. Under the notification she mentioned that, department has approved the advertisement of 575 lectures in different streams, but the complete notification will be prepared and released by Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission
“We have started to fulfil the promise of CM with regard to providing jobs to unemployed of J&K. I have approved the advertisement of 575 (+2) lecturers of different streams, in School Education Department. The posts are being referred to JKPSC.”
Eligibility criteria for JK 575 lecturer recruitment
The detailed eligibility criteria will be released in the notification by Jammu Kashmir Public Service Commission, however if the applicant have the following eligibility then they can start the preparation for the recruitment examination accordingly:
- Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the post of lecturer in State Government schools in Jammu and Kashmir.
- Reservation will be given to the permanent residents in the state who have domicile by the authorities.
- The minimum age of the applicant should be at least 21 years old
- The applicant should have completed Masters in the specific discipline where they are going to apply. For example if you want to become a lecturer of history then it is important to study History as a main subject in your masters.
- The applicant should be required to pass the Jammu Kashmir teacher eligibility test to be eligible for the post of lecturer.
- It is important to complete a 2 year B.Ed from any recognised institution with NCTE.

Selection Procedure
Jammu Kashmir Public Service Commission will conduct the recruitment examination of 575 lectures recruitment 2024 in Jammu and Kashmir. The job advertisement has already approved by the state Education Minister Sakina Itoo and now it has sent to the JKPSC to prepare a complete advertisement so it will be released for the applicants also on the portal. The Authority will conduct recruitment examination on pen paper mode or can also arrange the online CBT examination at different centres across the state.
There will be multiple sections in the examination including pedagogy, mathematics, reasoning, general knowledge, language test and the subject specific test where you are going to apply for the post of lecturer.
