JEE Advanced 2025 Eligibility: For those getting ready for the 2025 JEE exam, there is some exciting news. The JEE Advanced eligibility requirements have undergone a significant modification by the JEE Apex Board, or JAB. It is recommended that those preparing for the JEE exam fill out the form only after verifying the details, such as the eligibility requirements. Passing the JEE Main exam is a prerequisite for appearing in JEE Advanced 2025. Regarding the JEE Advanced 2025 exam eligibility requirements, IIT Kanpur has released a notification. It also provides information on the JEE Advanced Attempts Limit. Every student preparing for the JEE exam should be fully aware of the eligibility requirements for JEE Advanced 2025.
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025 eligibility requirements have been updated by the Joint Admission Board (JAB). The board had stated in the November 5, 2024, notification that candidates who passed the JEE Mains could take the JEE Advanced exam three times. However, this rule has since been removed. Candidates can now only take the advanced exam twice. After taking into account a number of competitive requirements, the JAB meeting on November 15, 2024, decided to restore the previous regulation. The previous eligibility requirements, which had been in effect since 2013, have now been re-implemented.
JEE Advanced Attempts Limit 2025
The number of chances to participate in JEE Advanced 2025 was increased from 2 to 3. However, this decision was revoked following the Joint Admission Board (JAB) meeting. On Monday, IIT Kanpur released a press release announcing the modification to the JEE Advanced attempt limit. There are now fewer chances to take the JEE Advanced 2025 exam. Students can now only take the exam twice, rather than three times.

Eligibility Requirements for the JEE Advanced 2025
- The candidate must have been born on or after October 1, 2000, in order to sit for the JEE Advanced 2025 exam.
- Additionally, candidates who belong to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), or have disabilities are exempt from the maximum age requirement by 5 years.
- Applicants from reserved categories must have been born on October 1, 1995, or later.
- 2.50 lakh applicants who scored highly on the JEE Mains exam go on to the Advanced level. The new regulations apply to students who have been admitted to IIT.
- They are not allowed to retake the JEE Advanced exam, but candidates who have been admitted to NIT are can appear in the exam.

Who is Not Eligible?
- Students who has competed their class 12th in the year 2023 will not be eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam.
- These students had previously been given the chance to take the test.
- Thousands of students applied for JEE Main after IIT Kanpur provided this opportunity. He was getting ready to be admitted to IIT once more.
- The decision to revoke their eligibility was made because, had they been given three chances, there would have been a demand to make this rule permanent.
